Anupama’s early life, education, and personal life

Rupali Ganguly Verma was born as Rupali Ganguli on 5 April 1977 in Calcutta now Kolkata, West Bengal into a Bengali speaking Hindu family. Rupali’s father was a director and screenwriter while her brother Vijay Ganguly was an actor-producer. She completed her studies in Hotel Management and learned theatre way before she was selected for the role of television show Sukanya as a lead. She is married to Ashwin K Verma on 6 February 2013 and is blessed with a son Rudraksha.

Rupali’s first piece of work at the age of 7 in the film Saheb in 1985 was followed by his small role in her father’s movie Balidan. She debuted in the television show Sukanya in 2000 and Sanjivini and Bhabhi after the successful role of Sukanya.
After the popular Bhabhi role, she got one of the lead roles in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai in which she played the role of Monisha.
